A friend of mine has an old lever action rifle. The only markings I have been able to find are 45-60 and 1876. Any idea how I can I.D. it?

Sell it to me for $100.00 and I'll tell you what it WAS ::)

But really..........it sounds like it should be a Winchester model 1876. 45-60 was the second caliber they came out with for that model.

Post some pics!

Good luck

Didn't Winchester put any other markings on these early guns?
Now for an important question. How come Bart never runs out of toilet paper?

Thanks Sarge. Your right it is Homer.
Seeing as the gun is an 1876 Winchester I'll mossey on over to the 1876 Winchester forum.
