I was born in Scotland but moved down to Nottinghamshire, England, at the age of 3 years.
I returned to the county at age 27 after  over 10 years in the Armed Forces and have lived in Mansfield ever since.
Mansfield is the reputed centre of Sherwood forest and I live just 8 miles from the Major Oak of Robin Hood fame.
I am now 62 and the Chairman of the Mansfield & District Rifle &Pistol Club for my sins and try to promote competitions as often as I can.
