I've done a lot of looking around and it's real hard to find good load data for the 45-75.  I'm looking for a trail boss load for use with the carbine and a 350 grain bullet.  I got the new lyman reloading book, but all it list is a 295 and 330 grain bullet load data.

Preferably trail boss, as I have several pounds of it on hand.  Will be shooting mostly black powder, but like to shoot smokless now and then.

Thanks,
Will

Well, I hope you have better luck with TB than I did.  I used from 14 to 16 grains of Trail Boss in Jameson brass with both WLR and CCI 200 primers, with the same BACO 350 grain bullet in my Chappy 45-75 and could not get it to group.  I mean, not at all, as in could not get a group to hold within the target frame.

The other load I tried with Pinnacle worked so well I never researched why TB did so badly.  I use a lot of TB and am very happy with it in pistol cartridges.  I see others having good result with it in 50-95 and 45-60.  So I could be doing something wrong, but when I load the cases it sure did a nice job of filling up the case leaving only a very small open space under the bullet.  But I sure haven't figured it out TB for my 45-75.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, was hoping to find a good load with trail boss, I've got a couple of pounds of it, but don't use it much.
