OK, gonna ask this question here as I didn't get much help on the Darksider forum.  Has anyone here ever tried a heavier bullet than 200/210 gr with BP in any of the toggle-link rifles? I have access to a custom 265 bullet mold that has what appears to have the same nose dimensions as the Lee 200 gr RNFP so this should not pose a chambering problem. Fortunately it can also be used in the 44 Spl and 44 Mag since that is what it was developed for. Any help would be appreciated.

Personally, I have never shot anything heavier than 225 gr. and that was with real BP. The largest I find data for is 240 gr. Are you using BP or smokeless?

Since you are parking it on top of BP you should have no problem (as long as the base is covered by the cartridge neck).
Sight regulation will be off.
Be sure your OAL is correct or it won't feed.

Let us know how it works!

Capt.,
I have shot a 240 gr. bullet with good accuracy using the the 23.5 gr. / RL7 Alliant recipe (12,100 c.u.p.). Velocity was 1,270 f.p.s.  If you use b.p. with the 265 gr. bullet, you may run into stability problems with the longer bullet in the slower twist because of the lower velocity (probably around 1,000 f.p.s. or less.)

If you try it, [ease let us know how it works out.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. Also got alot of help from a friend in CO who also mentioned the RL-7 loading and a few others. Guess I'll just have to buy the mold and try it out.
