I kind of lost the bubble on this. Did they ever get back into production?

No real word Mike...
According to Taylor's & Co, Hartford Remmies are no longer in production...

BUT.... it has been rumored that Hartford Armory is the producer of the much touted USFA Remmie...

Kinda wonder myownself.

What I have heard is that USFA has been negotiating with Hartford for the use of their machinery in making the Remingtions. This has been a big reason that the production has been delayed.   Therefore,  if true,  we have 3 separate companies trying to put their collective heads, egos and finances together to come up with a product.   Is it any wonder that the project has been delayed?   Since there has been no official word from USFA on what the status of the project is,   we are left to our rumors.

John Taffin stated in his book that the Hartford 1875's could fire the heavy .45 Colt+P hunting loads. Before the HA 1875, the only gun capable of doing that safely was and still is Ruger Blackhawk. Now IF that's the gun that USFA is going to produce then I think it's very well worth the delay.
A work in progress.
