While traveling down to Florida we stopped in Savannah, Ga and visited some very old forts.

Fort Jackson was built in 1808. Fort Pulaski was built in 1848. For their age they are both in pretty good shape. It was an erie feeling to walk through where so much history occured.

You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Outstanding!

I've been looking for a decent pic of a gun mounting en barbette (?sp).

Plus, I am just a sucker for scale models of things when I am at museums.

Thanks Johnny. Nice work.
