I have the urge to try shooting in the cowboy shoots. I have one Rem./Uberti 1858 New Army revolver and a couple of R&D conversion cylinders for it in .45LC. I have another Rem./Uberti 1858 New Army Revolver on back order from Midway. I wonder if these two revolvers could be used in the Cowboy shoots, if the rem. ordered from Midway ever gets here? Does anyone have any experience using this set up?

Trust me, a lot of people love using the 58 Remington in CAS!!!  Check out SCORRS they're the specialists in Remingtons, located right below STORM in the forum section, they'll help you out.  I'm getting to 58's myself, and leaving them cap and ball, shooting frontiersman.

At 25, you need to follow dreams or you'll regret it later.

One of the fastest, and top shooters in Florida uses that setup....

I use a Second Gen Colt with an R&D Conversion (sometimes) and pair it with a Uberti Froged frame Conversion both in 45 Colt.
My pard uses 58's in C&B as main match...

SO... YEAH....GO FOR IT  ;D
