I want a new .22 wheel gun.  I had a NM SS single six but I had problems with it so I sold it.  (could only shoot 2X and you need to run a brush through the cylinders so next rounds would seat all the way.  Used to get major lead chunks stuck between the barrel and top of the frame, etc)

Anyway, I went to check out the cimarron pinkerton  but I was not impressed with the fact it needs a lined barrel and cylinders.  Plus not a big fan of the matte black finish and plastic grips. Did not like the new safety on the side, plus it only clicks 2X when cocking it.  But it did fit my Wife's hands nice. Price was nice for a plinker.

I saw a heritage rough rider but did not look at it very close. price is around the same as Cimarron

Then I seen this Uberti Stallion  ;D.  Looks just like my cattleman with the brass trigger guards and back strap (I am a sucker for Brass)  Beautiful case hardened colors and deep blue cylinder and barrel.  I did not get to pick it up, but I assume it clicks 4X when cocked, and has the double position pin safety (I only carry on an empty no mater what safety it has)

From what I read the Stallion is smaller then my Cattleman but I did not notice (I only saw it behind the glass).
I think the hang tag said it came with both cylinders, but not sure since I looked at so many revolvers last night.
Since a 22lr is .223 and a 22mag is .224 I would prefer to have a barrel made for 22lr only (if there is such a thing)
something else I noticed is it cost 2X more then the above wheel guns.

Do you think the Uberti Stallion is worth the extra 2X money?
I enjoy shooting .22lr because of the price.  Plus when I shoot the 45's it takes away from the reloading time for my other calipers. (I know, a Dillon would fix this problem).

Any recommendations?
I thought of maybe stepping up to the 32 version, but then i got another caliber to reload

In case someone comes along and has the same question, here it is.

I love this gun.  It came with both .22.lr and mag cylinder.  Only used .22 so far.  I have shot around 500 rounds through it this weekend.  the front site seems fatter then my Uberti Cattleman in .45, but this might be the frame is a little smaller on the .22
I think its 7/8 size,  but just looking at it side by side compaired to the .45 it's hard to see much size difference.

It shoots a little low.  At 25 yards shooting clay birds, you sight under the bird, lift the barrel until the target just disappears behind the front sight and squeeze.  This is with the Federal 1200fps bulk stuff.  I will try other ammo to see if they shoot any higher.

Best part is the Wife is comfortable with it.
