Thank you for the info.  What I am looking for is a pic of a .44 Henry cartridge has been cut in half (sectioned) to show the inside of the case and the heeled bullet.

Go to the following website & scroll down to rimfire for a penned ink fascimile. Why do you need a cross section photo?  ??? They were the same then as today's .22 LR except for the case metal. Centrifugal force, then as now, is used to spread the fulminate.

Thank you for the link. In answer to your quesion "Why do you need a cross section photo?"......as a serious student of the .44 Henry cartridge, it would be great reference material.  Folks that are not in the know, can't believe there is that much power in that little cartridge. What they don't realize is that there is much more powder room inside that case than what they perceive.
