Leather wrap for lever gun

I need to wrap the lever on my lever guns. My Marlin is especially sharp edged and besides I think they look good wraped.

I tried to do a wrap at home but it look'd awful. I seem to remember someone was making a snap or lace on boot

that was universal for most lever guns. Any help locating would be appreciated.

Adirondack Jack's Trading Post has the lever wraps for sale with instructions on how to put them on.

Coyote Cap gunworks puts wraps on their Model 87 Shotguns. You may want to try them to see where they get them.

I wrap my own and have good results with that. I loop once around the trigger guard area then work down the lever, wrapping the two ends in opposite directions. At the end I tie it off and haven't had any difficulties with it coming off. It's probably a good idea to put waterproofing on the leather first.
