Well the new one lets you get e-mail notifications when you post a reply now. That's a step in the right direction. I used to be a a lot of trouble trying to follow a thread you didn't start.

Some of those people are sure having a time adjusting to the upgrade. :

Hopefully it will stay this fast when it's up and running for good.

Well, it's agravating. I was following the Funeral of Mark Flint and now I'm not sure that it'll still be there after tomorrow. A lot of work went into that thread by Tex, Alli, Bushwack, et al.

Now that's a shame. Hopefully everyone will get that updated pretty quick, and you all did know it was coming.........

Somebody probably copied the story down.. but in the long run it's gonna be better, cause you'll be able to get emails when someone makes an addition to a story. That's gonna make it a lot easier to follow the tales.

I just tried to get into the SASS wire. The forum is still showing as down. Does anyone know if the existing links will go to the new board when it is up or do we need a new web address as well. I guess the real question is do I keep checking the same place as usual and it will eventually come back or do I need to go elsewhere?

If it is a new software, it is likely that it will be a new address. However, webmaster has the option of setting up a automatic redirect from the old address, meaning that the old address can be used to get to the new SASS wire.

The new address will be http://forums.sassnet.com but you will still be able to access it through the main SASS Web page, just like before.
