I "discovered" Doc Baileys Leather Tonic about 5 years ago when I was walking by a guys who said....."let me clean them boots for ya" at a horse show...he was selling this stuff.....I've used it ever since...good finish on new leather, and cleans and conditions older stuff. ;D

Same thing happened to me in Sturgis four years ago. I never thought about using it since I got the black, and didn't think about them having anything else. The black works really well on my bike gear, so I'll have to give it a try. Thanks !

 :)Howdy Pards,
PLEASE TAKE THIS AS MY OPTION ONLY!  Doc Bailiey'sLeather Tonic, was design to use on oil Tanned and Chrome Tanned leather. Most, but not all of you pards use Veg. tanned leather, and in my option it wouldn't be good on Veg. tanned leather because of some of it's ingredents.

The Original Doc Bailey's Leather Tonic is a one step, total care product for leather and most vinyl. In one easy application specially formulated detergents open the pores and remove the dirt, allowing the lanolin oil that is in Doc Bailey's Leather Tonic to soak in, restoring softness and vitality. As a finishing touch, Doc Bailey's Leaves a thin layer of Montan wax giving your leather a beautiful high gloss finish that protects your leather and helps repel water.

Doc Bailey's dries in less than one minute leaving no sticky residue and is recommended for use on shoes, saddles and tack, leather upholstery and clothing, virtually all quality leather products.

Remember this is only my opinton, based on what I have ready about the the preserving of Veg. Tanned leather.. You guys can use anything you want, I am just putting out this info, for you to read and consider  for your self weather or not it is okay for you to use on your leather goods!

Rayban, I mean no disrepect on this statement, for your leatherwork is 10 times better workman ship than mine! i just wanted to ad this, so if anyone wanted to research on there own, they can! And as I stated it is you folks work, and JD ask, about treament, and I am only adding my 2 cents.

This statement was not intened in anyway to disrepect anyone in anyway!

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience Ace.

I've been a part of online forums for about as long as they've been around. Motorcycles and various acoustic & electirc guitar forums, more recently CAS, now leather. I have never been on a forum more friendly and helpful than this one. I can't imagine anyone I've seen here taking offense at an honest opinion.

This is a great group, and I'm really glad another CAS pard let me know about it. JD

No Problemo ACE!!! ;D

.....one thing is for sure, that if you ask 6 different Pards what they use to treat their leather, you are very likely to get 6 different answers.
All I can say is I like it (Doc Baileys Leather Tonic) It may have been "designed" to work as you have noted....but it works pretty  good for me too.

Note....you're talkin to a guy who started out using Super Sheen, so almost anything is gonna be mo betta! :-[
