Patty has sent the following message to all of our members that have a email address and she will mail a letter out to all members Monday with the same information. Hope you all can make it.

Bill

We will have a planning meeting for the Scarlet Mask Vigilance Society at McDonald's in Martinsville on January 10, 2009 at NOON.  McDonald's is located off of HWY 37 at Martinsville Plaza.

Agenda items include:

   1. The shoot schedule for 2009
   2. Work Parties – Stage Building and Clean Up
   3. Elections of new officers in February
   4. Future plans for the range
   5. Collection of Dues
   6. Payment to Thunder Creek – how they will be paid
   7. Newsletter
   8. Long Range Shoots
   9. Other

Please bring other agenda items to the meeting.  If you have suggestions how to improve the club, it would behoove you to attend the meeting and have your voice heard.  If someone needs a ride, call Bill or Pat Proctor to work out logistics.   We can take 4 people in our car if you want to meet us here. Anyone else who can drive, please let me know so I can share the information.

It is truly unfortunate that bad weather disrupted half of our shoots in 2008, but we hope 2009 will be clear sailing and afford a full schedule of shooting, starting in March, 2009.

Thank you,

Pat Proctor

Hey OCB,

You can add 'help sister club' get started in CA. to your agenda  At least in spirit ;D

Actually if the 'river don't rise' there just may be another NCOWS posse here in CA. after the first of the year. Maybe a little premature but the odds are in our favor. We are more than half way there with having a place to shoot, most of the targets and half of the (pledged) required membership for insurance purposes. It's kind of deja vu, having to start all over again from scratch, but I'm working on it and it's starting to come together.

Joss

Joss....

Glad to hear it! Are there any of the last NCOWS club members in California involved? Seemed like a bunch of OK guys.

Hey...go to my web site www.perfecthatproductions.com and check it out, got me a part time hobby that I really enjoy.

Range improvements for 2009:
   1)  Build 3 stage fronts on Bays 2-4.

   2)  Clear path from upper to lower range.

   3)  Build up back stop on left of stage 1 for mine car stage.

   4)  Build board walk between bays 2-4.

   5)  Other ideas??

   6)  Benches for at least 2 bays

   7)  Hide out gun match June

JR...
As we've discussed before if the shooting dates are all on the fourth Saturday (did you check the dates on the calendar?) of the month (as they are now) it won't be a problem. As far as shooting on Sunday, some of us attend church and would not be able to participate.

Bring these and other ideas you have to the meeting.
