JD, has gave you the best advice I think> If someone shows me, i can learn it! If some tells it takes me a long time to get!
But if you cannot afford the DVD, if you have a Tandy Store, you can go in a buy: How to make Holsters by Al Stohlman.
If you don't have a store close, you can buy them on ebay for the same price plus shipping! That is how I got mine.
And I think anyone starting off should have it anyway, along with Chuck burows DVD.

the first video that i purchased was made by Dusty Johnson, title Holsters and knife sheaths.
it was at the leatherfactory store. not sure if they still stock this video.
its a very good video and shows how to make a holster from step one.
also shows wet forming leather for a knife sheath.

while you are at his website check out the gun leather he makes. you will be amazed.

the second video i purchased was by george hurst,  hidecrafter leathercraft.
this is also a good video.
the third video i purchased was the john bianchi cowboy western gun holster making.
dont remember what website i got this one at. but this is a 4 vhs set. it shows you how to make a Buscadero
rig starting at ground zero. he shows how to make a pattern you can use to size the belt to anyone's shape.

and the last video i purchased was the chuck burrows one on holsters and the other one on knife sheaths.
check wildrosetradingpost.com..... think thats his website. this video shows how to make holsters the old fashoned way. he even shows how to stress the color to make it look old. even shows how to inlay snake skin on a holster. his knife sheath video also a very good video.

so if you want to make frontier style knife sheaths and holsters then the chuck burrows videos are the way to go for you.
but all the videos that you can get on making holsters will aid you in the long run. you can never have too much information on making holsters.

i go back and watch my videos everytime that i want to make a new style of holster.
