Major 2

When I reenacted I often made or and gave a new greenhorn unit member (fresh fish as we called them) equipment to help get past the initial start-up cost.
I worked with him to build a McClellan, or saddlebags ... I had the where for alls and the knowledge to share.

When I got involved with CAS in the in the 80's I saw the same kind of Camaraderie.
I had a friend, a few years ago name Craig, accompany me to a shoot, he was so impressed he had his Alias by the time we were home
Tabasco Kid.
We hunted and found his guns (he had a Ruger Blackhawk & and old SXS) we acquired a good used Uberti and a
Rossi 92... I gave him a pair of holsters
I mention I was looking for a used gun belt to buy for TK. TK was a large man
One of the Leather makers here, was so generous he offered to make the 54" belt... That was above the call and greatly admired and appreciated by TK and myself.
My friend Craig, passed due to complications of Diabetes..but his last 9 months were fun gathering his accuterment for and looking forward to his first shoot.

Once again I'm helping another friend ,Dennis. I took him to a W3G shoot yesterday
Here is the email he sent yesterday (along with 3 phone calls )   ;D
HE IS STOKED  :D
Hey,

Had a great time today!  It looks like a lot of fun.  I am so glad to be starting a new hobby, my wife is estatic.  Thank you again, for everything.  As you know, I've been a little down in the dumps but, to tell you the truth-I am very excited about what the future holds.  I know trouble is hiding behind the tree, but he'd better be quick if he wants to jump on me!

Check this out, one of my favorite songs:

Love you Brother, God Bless you and keep you.
Dennis

If you have an old holster, maybe a spare size 44 belt , have a Rifle you been wanting to sell on the cheap and perhaps another Pistol..
You to can have a feel good warm and fizzy.
