Anyone got a cylinder stop for a Merwin .38?? Mine is just starting to get a  bit flat. We are gonna try to build it back, but want to have a spare in case. Thanks. DM

Parts for these things are almost impossible to find.  And, if you do, they are pretty used themselves.  About the only thing you can do is tig weld them up and reshape them.

I was hoping anyway. The plan is to build it back up.
Let me run the problem by you.
Going slow fire in double action, it locks up tight, but when you go fast, it is starting to skip past the loaded round. Would be the stop right. Everything else looked good, timing wise. The stop is flat across the stop instead of rounded now, so I figured thats the problem.
Thanks. DM

Merwin, Hulbert metallurgy was never anything to write home about, and Time didn't help the situation.

I'd offer two things - lay the cylinder stop 'flat' on your anvil and use an un-marred, 'flat' punch.

A sharp rap or two should upset the metal enough to raise the flat - dress off neatly, fit and try.

The other suggestion - don't shoot it fast - you're only speeding up the process of damaging it, and spare parts reside in other folks' guns.

If you want to shoot a Pocket Revolver for speed - get one that had a long production life - like the S&W Lemonsqueezers and the Iver Johnson Owl Heads.

Parts for those are readily available - Merwin, Hulbert parts are not.

Good Luck!
