Up here in northern California we have had a bad summer. On the 22nd. of June we had a major thunder storm pass
through this area. At least 2 of the fires are still burning, the BLM has closed all of its lands to all shooting, the two
clubs that I shoot at will not allow us to shoot BP. Whats a cowboy to do? What about 777 or the outher subs?
I have seen posts that state with 777  " you get the smoke but no flames out the barrel". would 777 or one of
the outher BP subs be the way to go"??? Regards, TJ

APP and 777 produce lots of smoke but no more flame than most smokeless powders.  That's why they are no fun at night shoots.  BP produces a lot of flame and also shoots out a lot of embers.  I've set a few hay bales and other things on fire at local shoots with real BP, but never with the subs.

If you attend any night shoots or see the videos you will note there are a lot of sparks that rain out of the fireball during BP firing. Also occasionally you see "tracers" where BP powder grains adhere to grease cookies and sizzle all the way to the targets. I've not seen that with the subs but haven't been to a night shoot in a long time and haven't seen any subs in use when I did.
