Kayleen

Many folks have requested an update on Steve and myself. I am doing very well. Steve is doing as well as we can expect. We went on a 3 1/2 week vacation to see relatives in Illinios, Georgia and South Carolina. On our way through Indiana we had minor vehicle problems, but for us with Steve being sick they are always of concern. Well as fate would have it John White lives near Knightstown and helped us out. It is truely remarkable the big heart he has and we THANK him from the bottom our heart for all of his help.
We also had the privelege of going to Murfreesboro, Arkansas to hunt for diamonds. What fun, but no diamonds.
Steve has good days and then there are days that we just need to rest. By the way there are more good days right now than bad.
We have considered coming out to the Eastern regional, but nothing is for sure. That would be the first shoot of the year for us.

As many of you already know my brother lost his home in the F-5 tornado that ravenged Parkersburg Iowa on May 25. The town is rebuilding very fast and life is getting back to some normalacy. The entire high school had to be demolished and rebuilt, so the kids are being bused to nearby Aplington for classes. It is crowded but it is working. Steve and Stacy will be moving into their new home in November. New furnature will arrive sometime. (My brother is Steve also)

To make life interesting, my nieces husband rides in Chuck wagon races troughout Iowa. Three weeks ago he was severly injured when his horse died after the race and took several summersaults with Travis  on him. Needless to say Travis was in a coma for a week and is now in the head injury unit in Rocherster, Minnesota. He is making good progress but has a long road to go. His dad was injured 8 years ago to the day and is in a care facility.

Life isn't always easy, but with  God's help we get through each day. There have been days when I just asked God why my plate had to be running over and then realized that there are folks with much bigger and severe problems than I have.
Thank you to everyone  for all the prayers and kind words.
John White is the greatest.

Glad to hear you're both doing o.k. given the circumstances. Thank you very much for updating all of us, I was getting a bit concerned  since we hadn't heard from you for a while. You are a strong person Kayleen, and I have every confidence that you will remain strong thoughout this regardless of what you are handed. God be with you and Steve.

Madame Kayleen, it seems to me that you have the right attitude to get through and deal with the troubles and trials life is throwing at you and I'm very glad for it. May the Lord give you and Steve and all the good people you mentioned the strength to keep going. Keep in touch, please.
