I am cleaning out my gunsafe to make room for new toys.

One of the guns that I am planning on selling is a Colt 2nd Generation 1st Model Dragoon. Bought it new. I've had it for more than 25 years but never fired it. What would be a fair asking price?

Thanks, I just looked at it. Based on their site and your generous offer, it appears to be worth somewhere between $75 and $500.   

Guess I'll go somewhere in between.

Fifth edition Blue Book of Modern Black Powder Arms (2007) lists value of 2nd Gen 1st Model Dragoon:

100% (NIB) - $650
98% - $450
90% - $300
80% - $225

They usually fall in this range on GunBroker, sometimes bringing more for a truly pristine unturned model still wrapped in plastic with a perfect box.
