Bending hammers

   I just recently aquired a working hammer coach gun and being an ol' muzzleloader I have bent my share of hammers to make them hit the nipple squarely. What I want to know is can I do this to my sxs to make it easier to reach both hammers at the same time.
I hope I'm not kickin" a dead horse here but, I ran a few searches and didn't come up with anything. Hope someone can enlighten me on this subject.
