Getting excited! By the middle of next week, I should have my Spencer 56-50 Carbine in my hands. Have already gotten a mold, sizing die, and 100 brass cases. Spent an hour this evening annealing the brass. Will cast some Lyman 515139 bullets tomorrow. Dies are included with the carbine. Really looking forward to firing it.  ;D

How Do Preacher,

I am happy to read it is on it's way!  I use the same Lyman mold and it works well in mine.  When you start loading, make sure they feed through the action.  You may have to adjust the OAL of the cartridge.  I will try to post the length of mine later.  I will measure them with my calibers.  It DOES require firm levering to cycle properly.  You are a step ahead of me.  I never annealed my cases.  I do have rounds that the bullet spins in after crimping, but they still shoot and cycle fine.  Can't wait to read your report of your first firing.

Enjoy Sir!
