Hey everybody,I just got an e-mail from the Starline folks and they just told me that they are now about 1 million pieces behind on 45-70 brass so it is looking like it will be closer to the end of the year before they will have the ability to run any 45-75 cases.  All I can say is "Shucky-darn!"  >:(

I think that tells us something about the hoarding that is starting to take hold in the shooting community.  Many look to the future and see a grim one for the shooting sports with many restrictions.

I agree, this is only going to get worse.  This movie is starting to look far too familiar! :(

Guess I'm gonna be happy I ordered the xtra 200 .348 Win cases awhile back, along with the 300 .50 Alaskan cases....

Just recieived this response from Starline about 45-75 brass...

"Sorry due to production demands we have no immediate plans to produce this case."

 >:(  I sort of had that premonition when I got their e-mail saying that they were over a million rounds behind on 45-70 brass.  Well, we gave it good try anyway.  Maybe--who can say-- it still may happen but there still are lots of 348 cases and 50-90 cases out there and they are both good.  Just the wrong head stamp but that don't make them shoot any worse.  Now if Bertram would get off their high horse and lower their prices on 45-75 cases, I think they would sell alot more--maybe!!

I don't know about Bertram brass, but I'm not too worried about the headstamp on reformed 45/75 stuff. It has it's own unique shape that pretty much prevents chambering in the wrong gun :) Not historically accurate, but like you said, it works just fine....

Hang in there people. I spoke with Jamison Brass today about a Sharps cartridge case and mentioned to the lovely lady that people were desperately needing brass for their '76 models whereupon she told me that they are tooling up now to make 45-75, 45-60, 40-60 & I believe 50-95 if I remember correctly. I would encourage you people to "pester" them (in a good way of course) about this brass.
