Come one, come all to 'Fire in the Hills'.

Dick Dastardly is doing his bullet casting workshop at the Wisconsin State SASS Championship match at Boyceville, WI on Aug. 22, 2008 at 10:30am and 4pm.  Bring your questions and I'll have answers.  See scrap metal made into great shooting bullets.  Learn how to shoot Black Powder for an entire Three day SASS match without need to clean your guns to maintain function or accuracy.

This is your opportunity to learn from the master and see what Big Lube™ bullets are all about.

Learn that it's FUN to make your own black powder bullets and SAVE big time at the firing line.

See you at the pump house.

Yea, we were going to do that in California too.

BUT, there was concern that the endangered Condors would mistake the boiling pot of lead for seafood bisque, drink it and die of lead poisoning. So, we agreed to cover the pot.

Then, there was concern about the use of fossil fuels to heat the pot. So, we agreed that we would only use wood. BUT, there was concern that the burning of wood would have dire effects on the habitat of the endangered California Termite. So, we agreed to use solar power.

Except, the fog rolled in and we had to cancel the event for this year.

So, now we have a pot of cold lead sitting in a Condor proof building, made of environmentally friendly cinder blocks.

And, at this time, we'll be waiting for global warming to hat the building to the boiling temperature of lead so we can cast our own bullets. THAT we promise not to actualy shoot as the Condors will eat any poor animals that get in the way of a stray round and then they will die from lead poisoning.

You know, without the Condor pop, the grasses would not grow and then the endangered Salamanders would have nowhere to hide and be at the mercy of the endangered falcons that would become more endangered brining out all of Hollywood to protest the toxic fumes from our globally warmed lead.

I'm just glad that the Raptors are extinct or we'd be saving them too!

Hummmm...they are extinct, right? I went to school in California and I remember there was something about the dinosaurs being extinct in a test in my environmental studies class. AS I recall, the Suburban was going the way of the dinosaur.............

Since I don't throw any bullets into the air, I won't endanger any Wisconsin Condors, or wrens or hummingbirds either.  Anyway, we are casting outdoors with the wind to my back, the sun in my face and a lot of great pards standing by.

The real benefit to these workshops is that lots of pards learn that they can do it themselves.  That frees them from having to buy one more component.  It helps bring the cost of shooting down and promotes handloading.  All good things for SASS and NCOWS.
