Steel Horse Bailey,

I haven't had any problems with either my '66 or Henry with the Schofield cases.  Maybe the tolerances on the extractors on both are loose enough I'm not having any problems.  .45 Colt works fine in them too.

I have earlier R&D conversion cylinders for my Remington New Model Armies and they will not take Schofields because of the rims.  I know, I've tried.  I've heard the newer R&D cylinders do accept the Schofield case.  My Uberti 1873 Cattlemen will take Schofields.  Not that it matters because I prefer to use the .45 Colt round in the Cattllemen.  More smaoke and BOOM. ;D

Some work - some don't.

The ONLY reason I tried is because I got a box full at a great price.  I prefer the added ooompfh from a full 45 Colt case, too.

I`ve been real lucky so far ..I bought 500 pieces of Starline Schofield brass ..Thus far I`ve shot my Schofield loads out of my 1860 Uberti Henry ..all my R&D Remmie Conversion cylinders ..and one Kirst Cylinder ...I`ve got a 1871 Open top comming chambered in the 45 Schofield .......I haden`t thought about trying them in my Uberti 1873 45LC yet ..I`ll probally stay with the Colts in it .
The Schofields chamber in the Henry like it was made for them very smooth no problems with the extractor at all seems like the Schofields want to fly into the Henery`s chamber before I get the bolt moveing forward . ;D
