Just purchased Single Action Sixguns by John Taffin on amazon this morning. Anyone ever heard of this book?

I just ordered mine right now.  Looks as though I'll have some reading to do.  Along with my book on Billy the Kid, Johnny Ringo et al.

He was one of the guys that wrote a drive by shooting article against CAS.  To heck with him and his book-and the magazine he writes for.

His article doesnt negate the fact that he knows alot about single action sixguns and knows how to impart his knowledge well.  Enjoy the book pards.

His article was against SASS and not CAS. SASS is a paradise for "gamers". NCOWS is not.  ;)

Got the book in the mail last Saturday. Worth the wait and the money. The thing that surprised me the most was the Texas Longhorn Arms Model Number Five. Now I've got to get Guns of The New West!
A work in progress.

Sixgun,   Guns of the New West is pretty good for a beginner looking for information on guns that were available about 4-5 years ago.  Alot has changed since that time.  Unless you are brand new and looking for beginner information I think your money might be better spent on something else.   If you really want the book it appears to have gone down in price.   Look here.  Regards.  Deadeye.

I've got that book and found it full of interesting info., but as Deadeye Don said, it is pretty much dated by now.  Buy it used if you can.
