I can remember when they'd be cutting spinach, grabbing a few leaves and eating it, musta been thinking about Popeye  ;D

back then they cut it with knifes by hand, about 100 people with knifes cutting all day, they dump it over in the truck and at least 2 people tromping it down,  there was always a rush to be the trompers, then throw some chicken wire over the truck and off to the cannery.  was only 5 miles down the road.
