1890 Maker?

Just got my second Remmie - an 1890 in 44-40 to go with my NMA (with both C&B and Kirst cylinders).  Sure love my NMA. 

I am looking for some help on identifying who made it.  The date code under the barrel is for 1991 and it came from EMF.  But I don't recognize what appears to be the maker's mark that is beside stamping that says "CAT. 4189" on the right side of the frame.  The mark has GVT around it - left, bottom and right.  The serial number is in the 18,000's.  The PSF proof marks are on the barrel.

On the top of the barrel it is stamped "1890 OUTLAW model - CAL 44-40".  On the left side of the barrel it is stamped "EMF S.A. CAL".  On the other side of the barrel it says "Made in Italy".  Would appreciate any help I can get as I am thinking of putting the 1875 web on it and want to ensure I am ordering the part correctly.

And I guess I better put my name forward for a membership in SCORRS ! ! !

The only Italian manufacturer of the Remington 1875 and 1890 is Uberti.

Long Johns is right, the cat no. is just that, it is Uberti's (or EMF's) catalog number, which I would wish they would delete from their stamping process....

It certainly looks like an Uberti - the finish and colour of the wood is right.  So I guess Uberti didn't mark guns sold by EMF in the early '90's?

On my 1972 production Uberti Remmie 75 the Uberti mark is on the butt. This mark is usually found on all Uberti guns but often in a place were you normally would not look for it, like under the loading lever of a Remmie 58.
The CAT mark is to be found on all industrially manufactured and commercially sold Italian guns, or foreign guns to be sold in Italy. It is kind of a "model" registration with their government and it is expensive. All the CAT numbers are different depending on the model, i. e. my Uberti OT .44 Colt 7,5" barrel has CAT 11096, my Uberti Navy RM conversion .38 cal, 7" barrel has CAT .12311 . No CAT number on the gun no sale legally possible.
