Bullet casting workshop at "Hang Um High"

I just got the go ahead from the match director for "Hang Um High" at Oconomowoc, WI June 27.  I'll be setting up my "period correct" canvas tent Thursday afternoon and doing one workshop Friday morning around 10am and another Friday afternoon around 4pm.

So, for those that care to attend, bring your questions and your notebooks.

It's an injun name. Oconomowoc sits about midway between Milwaukee and Madison and the Oconomowoc Cattlemans Association shoot is just south of I-94 off County road F.

Easy to find, good parking, plenty of camping room and fantastic stages. Johnny Ronquillo is match director. It's a fun Three day event with side matches, great food and plenty of great green Wisconsin scenery.

I'm running the bullet casting workshops because I've had so many questions that can best be answered that way. All my mold designs will be on hand, plenty of lead and a good bottom pour pot.

I'll be teaching mold smoking, mold tune up, production casting and hardness testing.

There's no fee and the bullets will be free.

Sounds like a good deal.  Will you also be doing casting with "period" equipment and methods?

Yup, I'm goin' to use all 1880s period correct electrons to run my pot, very very old aluminum and Iron in my molds, antique silver in my hair and ancient lead in my - - -

That sucker's big and heavy.  Bushwack Jacksack won't show till sometime Friday.  Yup, I could use any help you have to offer.  After setup, let's go to the Delafield Brew Pub for some fine liquid refreshment and great food.

I'm out of my home make whiskey, but I'll try to have a good supply of home brew beer.  I'm thinkn' a light amber ale for that time of year.
