I bought a Henry not a real Herny, I bought a Henry Repeating arms rifle in 38 special! I swore I wouldn't buy a Henry that had wood on the forearms, but I bought it brand new at a real bargin!! I got to go to my first shoot Sunday, and I loaded 357 cases for it, because I have a lot of them! I have been reloading for 32 years, At one time I had 4 proggesive shotgun loaders running, and to Dillons, there is no way I could tell you for sure how many rounds I have loaded, but when I was shooting registered skeet I was shooting 800-1000 rounds a week, so I am going to guess around 150,000 rounds and never untill Yesterday, I have never had a bad primer, and i had 2 yesterday, I keep them and see if they will fire in my S&W 357, last night, I check to see if I thought the firing pin was to short, and i don't think so, I don't think that the primers wer set to deep!
Has anyone on here owned one of those guns, and if so has any one had a firing pin problem?
I would be great full for any and all advice!

Ace    Ive only had three bad primers in my life, and two of them were yesterday. A friend and myself went out plinking, they were the dreaded winchesters,I ve read of others having problems with them. I was emptying them anyway to reload with Federals.     Adios   Sgt. Jake

Jake, I have used every kind except the new brands coming on the market, I allways used Winchester or CCI, never did like federals, I tried to get all my 9mm's loaded up, so i could change the old RL450 to 38's and leave it, but I keep finding 9mm bullets that I had stock piled, so i am setting the RL550B up for 38's. But yesterday I had 2 and that is all in my whole 32 years of reloading?

I've never used the Russkie primers.  Only a few Federals.

I've used LOTS of Winchesters and CCIs - most with good luck.  I had one lot of a thousand Winchesters that had a couple that never fired off and maybe a dozen of the same batch that required 2 or 3 hits to ignite.  My hammer springs are NOT light and it was only the one lot of primers that has had problems.  No, I didn't check with Winchester and they're all gone now.

Having said that, I've had a few of all types (brands) fail to ignite from time-to-time.  A couple I've been able to see that simply had not mixture in them - they were empty.  ALL that have had problems were in the last 10-15 years.  Never had any in the 70s, 80s, or early 90s.  That tells me something.  The manufacturers are getting sloppy, IMHO.
