The GAR post and the watch I found got my crank turned to add to my alias' personna. Doc Neeley really was a doctor and my great grandfather. I've added a Medical officers frock coat, officers kepi, and hat insignia. I'm now looking for a medical officers sword. The style was used from 1840 until 1902.
Aint this fun! Doc
All America lies at the end of the wilderness road, and our past is not a dead past, but still lives in us. Our forefathers had civilization inside themselves, the wild outside. We live in the civilization they created, but within us the wilderness still lingers. What they dreamed, we live, and what they lived, we dream. -- T.K. Whipple

I 'think' I remember Atlanta Cutlery having a decent replica available - and they supply Dixie Gun Works, as well.

The swords/sabers are made by 'Windlass Steelcrafts' in India.

Or - you could divest yourself of that bothersome pocket watch...
