I'm looking to be shooting in my first CAS match this saturday (in Ripon, if any of you folks shoot there as well) , and I'm wondering how many rounds of rifle, pistol, and shotgun ammo I should expect to go through, so I have an idea as to how many to make up by then.  That, and slap a gun cart together!  Any pointers?

You will shoot ten rifle and ten pistol cartridges per stage and four to eight shotgun cartridges. Plus an  on the clock reload of a few rounds. My home club shoots a six stage monthly match so I take at least a hundred and fifty rounds for my rifle and pistols. I usually take seventy five shotgun shells, fifty of my fairly light ones and twenty five with a heavier load in chase the knockdown targets are balky.

It is much better to have a few boxes too many than two rounds short. The Pards shooting that newfangled fad stuff can usually borrow some extra, we don't have it quite so easy. Plus, lots of times someone will want to try a few rounds.

Ripon is my home club. We shoot 5 stages. The trail boss tries ta keep the rounds ta 50 pistol, 50 rifle, and 25 shotgun. But, I always take a bit extra just in case. That reminds me, I gotta load some ammo. See ya there pard.
