Howdy guys. I'm looking to match a stamp for a project. The stamp is shown below. I'm assuming there is a seeder involved, but I'll take any info and advice I can get. Anyone recognize this?

Thanks much, JD

Sorry, doesn't ring any bells with me.

Kinda like it, though.

Yeah, the guy did a nice job. The belt is years old, and the maker, so I'm told, is out of business. I need to shorten it. I don't have to stamp it, but I'd like to if I can.

JD, I haven't seen this before, but I sure do like it!  If none of our guys on this site can identify it, try www.leatherworker.net.  This site is another wonderful resource of information for our "addiction".

That kinda looks like a rolled embossed pattern

JD, I would almost say it was done with a roller and a wheel. I dont see any seams in that design at all, like a single stamp would leave. (Unless the guy was anyone else but me, I tend to leave evidence of stamps, myself ;))
Neat design though.

The more I look at it the more I tend to agree with you Dalton. I can't imagine anyone being that good with a half stamp.

Well, now I was looking mainly at the top portion of your pic, JD. When I look at the bottom portion, I can see a possible seam, but it still seems to be lined up the same each time.
Cool stamp if it is one!

It is really good but I tend to say a stamp based on the end of the runs at the two corners.  Rolls do not generally leave such an abrupt end to the run as displayed here.  Look how sharp the impressions are at the ends.   I think most plates and rolls are mocked up from actual stamp designs anyway.  I have several embossing rolls that seem to match and index perfectly with some of my Craft brand border stamps.  I saved several old leather catalogs for years but as luck would have it I threw them away recently.

G'Day Pastor,Found this on www.springfieldleather.com    up the top of their page it says keyword if you type in embossing wheel #20 it will bring up the info & price as per the pic.Hope it helps Feathers

Good point about the ends, SHB. The ends would be rolled lighter at the ends. I will dig through some of my old catalogs, but I doubt I see it in them. They are old Tandy catalogs from the 50s-60s.
Could it be an old custom stamp?

Howdy JD
I think I saw one like that in Bob Beards tools. It was a proto-type of one he made someone.

While browsing the Weavers catalog last night I spotted something very similar, though just a bit plainer.  It was under the Horseshoe Brand line of stamping tools and offered in two sizes, 67-6251 and 67-6250, as Running Borders.  You might want to check out Jeremiah Watts web site to see if he has it in the fancier version you show.

Thanks WC & Slowhand Bob, I appreciate the effort trying to help me out
