Will this type of load work ok (safely) in the Kirst Conversion Cylinder in my Uberti 1858 Navy .36 Revolver?

I would expect so, it is probably made precisely for that purpose.  The only problem I see is SASS legality, as the bullet does not show above the case mouth.  When I reload the 148 gr HBWC for my R&D and Kirst conversions, I seat the bullet about 1/16 inch above the case, this lets the bullet show, so you know at a glance the case is loaded, and satisfies the SASS rule.

Only a hollow base or a heel type bullet will work accurately in the 375 bore.  Black Hills ammo is intended for Cowboy Action Shooting and is set to a safe and SASS legal pressure and velocity, as I understand it.

It'll work fine, and I doubt you'll have any SASS legality problems, either.  The rule was originally trying to cut down on projectiles seated actually below the case mouth: ie - 45 Colt case w/ 4 grs of smokeyless powder and the bullet seated low so there isn't a lot of empty air in the case.  Every 148 gr Hollow based Wadcutter I ever saw from the factory actually HAS a couple thousandths of an inch above the crimped case.  It's just so close that it looks flush.

ROs - feel free to correct me, but I think I'm right ... ESPECIALLY in view of how many 36 cal Navies (etc) are sold converted and NEED the HBWC - which is plentiful - or a heeled bullet, which can be much harder and MUCH more expensive to obtain.
