Load-All and 2 1/2" Hulls...?

I have a new Lee Load-All and it works great!  (other than I have to use Pyrodex if I want to use the powder feature)

However, as I am switching to 2 1/2" hulls to see if they shuck better, I have had to put some "home-made spacers" (otherwise known as 1/4" plywood) under the shells to get the thing to work...

Is there a conversion kit or somesuch that will do this...or am I just not setting the thing up correctly???

I used to use plywood spacers in my MEC when I was shooting alot of BR skeet and sporting clays. What little shotgun shooting this game requires I just use old antique  hand tools.  I just ran a dozen shells in about 10 minutes this morning.

There 2 holes drilled on the face of the main beam that the plastic wad guide screws into. One is for 3" and the other for 2 3/4" Couldn't you just drill another for the 2 1/2"  .25" lower?

I have some old Husqvarna shotguns with 65mm chambers.  Thats only a tad over 2.5, so mostly I trim to 2.5".

For 12 gauge I use a MEC Grabber press.  I can use it, as is, to load shortened shells using the "jam-roll", or otherwise called the "Hartin crimp".  Place an over-shot card on top of the shot and run it through the crimp stations.  Crimp Start, crimp, and taper-crimp.  The result is a modified roll crimp.  Not rolled, but pressed down, to avoid heat-hardening of the plastic.  The loaded case shows a star shaped pattern over the O/S card.

For my new 16 gauges, I acquired a MEC 600Jr and installed the 16 gauge conversion parts.  It works as well, but only lacks the taper crimp feature.

I have load-all presses but prefer the firmer action of the MECs.  I'm sure the jam-roll can be accomplished on the Load-All, but haven't tried it.
