Here are a couple photos of my Walker Revolving Carbine pretty much finished.  R&D 45LC cylinder conversion.  It's loud and shoots great.  If you would like some more photos email me at:

Yep, I do like that cannon.  You did a fine job from the look of it.

Much obliged gents. It was fun to build.  fortunately I have an excellent gunsmith to do the barrel work.  It balances between the end of the cylinder and the wedge.  That's usually where I put my support hand or way out on the fore arm.  There is some side blast from the R&D 45LC cylinder. None to the rear.  It's big fun to shoot.  I'm designing a barrel sheath to hold the barrel when I reload. It will be good when someone comes out with a gated Walker conversion.

The barrel is a Green Mountain tapered octagon barrel cut to 18 inches, threaded and crowned. When the Walker unit was drilled and tapped there was enough room on the forcing cone to just mill the barrel to the edge of the forcing cone and allow proper taper.

Question: whilst drooling over the pics again it occured to me that the loading lever assembly is still in place.

Why?

Aside from just looking cooler than hell, was there any reason?

The carbine can be shot with either the R&D or the black powder cylinder.  I use the loading lever to punch out the empties.
Thanks for the reply Forty Rod.

That makes sense, and like I said it looks cool.

Next question: I had two Walkers and couldn't make that lever stay up.  Do you have any secrets?
