OK, been there. Take your nipples out of the offending gun and look at the open end. If the hammer is striking too heavy they will have a slight mushroom appearance. Chuck them into a cordless drill(less RPMs than a cord drill) by the threaded portion and turn the mouth of the nipple down by touching the edge to a fine file. You don't want to shorten the nipple, just remove the swell caused by the heavy hammer strike.
If this works, then you should address the issue of the hammer striking too heavily. Shorten all nipples or remove some metal from the hammer face. An additional cause may be driving the wedge in too tight and and pushing the cylinder back too far.

What Noz said.  I have a SS Uberti '51 Navy that just battered the heck out of the nipples when I first got it.  After 12 rounds, I couldnt get a #10 on the nipples.  A little Dremel work ot the hammer face solved the problem.
