I've a question; How does one use a Vernier, or a ladder type sight What I mean to ask is how does one aim the sight? What sight picture should I see? should the intended target be seen through the appeture or should the front sight? what am I suppose to be sighting with/on? line up the front and rear sight or sight on the intended target?
I have libraryed, searched the internet and written a few gun oriented magazines to no avail, They tell me what needs to be done, but not how to do it! Any help would be apprecaited.

"A gun is  just a tool. No better and no worse than any other tool----- Think of it always in that way. A gun is as good--- and as bad--- as the man who carries it. Remember that."

Just look thru the peep put the front sight where you think the bullet should go and squeeze the trigger. Don't worry about lining up the hole in the rear sight you're eye will center the front sight in the hole so all you need is to put the front to where you want it.
