Howdy Pards,
The 76's did well - On the 300 yard range, a cowboy from Missouri put all 5 shots on the bison in 11.?? seconds!! with his Taylor's .45-60 using 300 gr. bullets & smokeless powder!  Another cowboy from Tennessee put all 5 shots on the bison in 30.?? seconds with his Cimarron .45-75 using 350 gr. bullets & Goex FFg Express!.  On the 600 yard range, a cowboy from KY hit the bison with his Chapparal .45-75 using 350 gr. bullets & smokeless powder. The cowboy from TN put 4 hits on the bison with his Cimarron .45-75 using 350 gr. bullets & Goex FFg Express. Best I recall, the leverguns did well shooting against the Sharps at 600 yards - for bragging rights only. Target size was approx. 30" X 30" for both ranges.

Buckey ;D

That is some good shooting!
Some real distances, substantial cartridges sending fat heavy bullets in rapid succession to the target :)
thanks for the report.

Dirty Brass

Impressive results. I didn't think these rifles were accurate enough for that kind of shot placement at those distances - especially with BP loads.

Grizzly Adams

Thanks for the report, Bucky!  Sounds like you boys had yourselves a good time! ;D  These guns are a lot of fun to shoot, and they do just fine to boot! ;)
