Howdy Folks,
It's time for me to put a set of sights on my Rolling Block, but I'm running into a couple small problems. The tang is already drilled and tapped for the sight, but the holes are 1.52 inches apart, which doesn't match up with what a lot of the manufacturers sell. I've been told that this is the Pedersoli pattern.  Anyone have any luck contacting Lee Shaver directly? He has what I want on his website, but Buffalo Arms, who sells his stuff, does not, as far as I can tell. Any advice on brands, specific types, etc would be much appreciated. I'm not planning on shooting BPCR, so I don't want to mortgage the house for a sight set, but I don't want junk either. I'm also planning to reach out as far as I can with those Big Fifty bullets too.

Thanks

Haggis

Pedersoli uses 2.25 on the Sharps, as do most others. I think you'll find most short based, or highwall sights should fit your hole spacing.

Thank you much,
Just spent a couple days talking to different people. I had ordered a set of the Pedersoli sights, but after talking to the good folks at Buffalo Arms, I cancelled that order, and am waiting to receive one of the Ukranian tang sights, and am thinking about either a Baldwin, Kelley, or Ukrainian front sight.

Those Ukranian sights are pretty good. We're running them on 2 different rifles now.

I had a M.V.A. M R sight and regular (no level) front sight installed on my Pedersoli and am able to shoot 3" groups @ 100 yds wih my reloads, which while only avarage shooting @ that distance that is the longest shooting range I can find in my area.
