I talked to Buck a couple of months ago and he mentioned that he and Robert Duval were working on some ideas for a Western. I haven't seen Buck since then,so I don't know any more than that for right now.  I never know when I will see him again.  I will let you know when I hear something.  I don't know if it will be a regular movie or a made for TV one.

Buck Taylor is one of my favorite western actors - he always looks and sounds the part.  Of course, nothing need be said about Robert Duvall and westerns - he makes everything he's in better.  So, I hope they are working diligently on this project as there is a lack of goods things to see in the movies and on tv here lately.  I mean how many times can a body watch Lonesome Dove, Conagher, Last Stand at Saber River, Monte Walsh, The Wild Bunch, Rio Bravo, The Searchers, Red River, The Rough Riders, Open Range, and Tombstone?  Ok, a bunch, but I'd still like to see something new.

I got a feeler, from the UPM about my availability for a Tom Hanks , Louie L'Amour work sometime this summer.
It's in development now, pre-production has not started though.

Tom Hanks in a western?  Great actor but I don't know?  He is the modern "every man" - has he ever done anything that wasn't 20th century - "Road to Perdition" was the 30s, right?  I'm having trouble seeing him in the 19th century.  Hopefully he'll surprise me.

Hanks is so good at his craft I have no doubt of the outcome. Most every role he takes on kinda surprises. . .pleasantly surprises. ;D

Tom Hanks... :)That man can suprise everyone, i can see him as a military officer, and mabye a mountain man.
But it will be nice to see him in a good old gunsmoke western.

Bytheway.................I have been looking for one movie, it is a fiction western............ It started with a robbery back in 1880's, and there are 4 or 5 cowboys, one of the cowboys turn out to be a lawman, when he about to arrest he's friends, som electric storm come's over, and they travel in to 1980's, i think the name is The Outlaw (s) this film was made back in the 1980's i think. Made for TV or so ??? I rent it in VHS, but that was many many years ago.
Do anyone now's how i can get it on DVD
The actors is Charles Napier,Rod Taylor and more.

Any hints about which Louie L'Amour story is lined up?  :-\
I'd love to see "Reilly's Luck" brought to the screen !!!!  :D

This could be good!

Well.... see, if you take your time, you get a more harmonious outcome.

Deadeye Don

OK, this one looks really good.

Here are some pictures of the production on Dave Carricos website.  By the way, Dave makes some really great and reasonably priced leather gear.

Deadeye:
Is this a remake of the Marlon Brando movie of the same name? Ther synopsis doesn't make it clear, but it doesn't sound like it. That old flick had one great ling in it: "Thanks for watching my horse. Don't do it again"
