well I finished my first holster for my kids 22 target pistol. I learned a lot and have started a shoulder holster for my Ruger NV. Next will be a Huckleberry rig for the Ruger.

Nice holster, Crossdraw. Good molding you did on it. The trigger guard section should keep the pistol in nicely. Looks like the right amount of forward cant, too. Good work. Thanks for sharing.

Crossdraw, really like that dye job. That's the dark brown I want on my first holster.
How long did it take you to sew all that?

Howdy Crossdraw,

That is a beautiful job on your first Holster!  Thanks for sharing this with us.

We all look forward to seeing your future projects.

You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Thanks again for the kind words.

I think I have about two hours in the stitching. I really like using a Dremel to make the stitching holes.

The dye is Tandy one step. I don't think I would use it on a holster again, especially one that got much use. It just sits on the surface and is easy to scratch through.

I want to try a light coat of Fibings oil "saddle tan" followed by a coat of oil on the next one.
