A question guys.
Has anyone of you a telescope on his Henry, like in these pics?

On Oct.27,1863 Captain James Wilson,12th Kentucky Cavalry, again wrote to Winchester telling him he wanted
a new Henry rifle, specially fitted for telescopic sights.Boasting that his 67 men had recently repulsed 375 of John Hunt Morgan's raidres in a 2 1/2-hour fight,Wilson claimed his unit had killed 31 and wounded43 of the enemy.

That's the first scope I've seen on a Henry.

They mount off center to the left so the ejected empties clear.  Tasco used tp make 'em, and I think Dixie Gun Works  still sells some that are similar.

Has anyone save the pic of the Henry rifle with the scope?
Didn't find it anymore on the web, and i don't know why, but i delete mine. :o

A surviving early Henry rifle, s/n 731, is mounted with with  a sight made by ' Malcom,Syracuse,N.Y.'Whether the telescope and special mounts were furnished through New Haven or were an after-market addition is unknown.
