Ultona called Cimarron last friday while I was in his shop to pick up my new Type II, and asked for the longer replacement rod ........even got to hear your voice on the phone, Abilene.
The rod arrived today, and it took only a couple of minutes to retro fit following your instructions. It looks (and functions) a lot better now.
