People, for CAS distances the BP lube factor is not important IMO as long as it's a BP type lube & you use ENOUGH lube. I've used a "Big Lube" style bullet since they first came out and I think they are great. I actually began using the old outside bullet lube recipe a few years back & swear by it. Here it is:

OUTSIDE LUBRICATED BULLET LUBE
1 part paraffin (I use paraffin sticks found in the canning section of grocery stores).
1 part tallow (I use sheep tallow, sold by Dixie Gun Works)
1/2 part beeswax

Where BP lube type IS important is in long range BPCR shooting and SPG still reigns supreme for most people.

I use Ballistol now & then for some things, however a far better BP CLP (cleaner, lube & preservative) IMO is Lehigh Valley Patch Lube. This stuff is INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Smells great & is non-toxic. I've tried 'em all & there is no better. Top of the mountain!!  ;)
