I've seen a lot of the posts here about grips and I have the websites bookmarked.  What are your best experiences?  I have an EMF GW II, 7.5 inch barrel, that I bought used and shoots well(good for me at least) but I'd like some thicker grips.

Thanks in advance

I've had good luck with Eagle grips just screwing right on and fitting well.  Good service and all of that too.

I bought a pair Buffalo Brothers grips and I really like the way that they look but they did require quite a bit of fitting.

Hello Camille & Dave

I have two Great Western l l  also but I like the ultra ivory grips it came with , I did replace the grips on my two Ruger Vaquero's , with Eagle Grips , in the Gunfighter style, and have been very happy with them , I did have to do a little miner sanding to make things perfect, but I would rather have it this way , than to have them under sized, they stand behind their work , so if you're not happy just send them back , and they will redo them for you. Give them a call and ask for Bill , tell him what you want, and he'll take good care of you , or you can send them your gun and they will fit the grips to your gun. I use a solid oak spacer in the grip frame, to keep things stable , and to prevent over tighting, which is a good thing to do with all grips, with one piece grips, you don't need to do this, because you have no grip screw to worry about. You might want to check out or own Doc Shapiro, here at CASS CITY, he puts out some real nice wood burrel grips just go to www.jsgrips.com

I've not had any problem with Eagle grips fitting.

Howdy Camille

The first set of grips I recieved from Eagle Grips , was way under sized, they made them too thin , there for you couldn't keep them tight, and could easily over tighten them and cause them to warp, you could see grip frame all around the grip frame , I like my guns to be perfect , when it comes to grip too frame fit. But this was no problem , I called Bill at Eagle , and he told me to take some pictures , and send the grips back, and they would redo them , one week later I had my new grips , and this time they fit, and just needed a little sanding to make them a perfect fit, so I'm very happy with Eagle's service , so much so that I ordered an other set for the other ruger .
