The Arapaho Kid

And a crashing right cross from Hoppy sends another owlhoot to dreamland!  Please note that rather interesting gunbelt Hoppy is wearing.  I've seen some bizarre rigs, but this is a new one on me.

Didja ever notice that?  Those ol' cowboy heroes could take a direct shot...a fist right in the chops and their hats never came off! How'd they do that?  They didn't have Super Glue back in those old B Movie days!  Another thing that's fun to do...is watch those movies and count the shots out of a six shooter.  I've counted as high as 12 without them reloading.  And...you very seldom saw them actually reloading either.  And the other classic scene...The good guys are chasing the bad guys and one of the bad guys runs outa bullets.  Does he reload.....oh good heavens no.  He tosses his pistol at the good guys!  "Keep yer distance, boys...he just ran outa bullets....he's gonna toss his pistol at us!"

When my better half watches with me, she always comments when someone throws their gun after it is empty.  ;)

I was watching an old, campy, B Western once.  John Carridine was the bad guy in it.  In one scene he was being chased by the posse and one of his six shooters ran dry....so he chucked it at the posse.  His second one ran dry as well.....so....he chucked that at the posse too.  Maybe he had a pocket pistol for a back up??

Four-Eyed Buck

Guess they don't want to reload on the clock, rather take the misses...........Buck 8) ::) :-\ :)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Slightly off era, but did you ever notice in the Superman series, Superman would take six .38s to the chest without flinching, then duck to the side when they threw to empty gun at him.  I guess that means even in the ol' days, the gun packed more hittin' power than the slugs.   ;) ;D
