Found these pics of a repeater on my PC, but i can't remember the name of the rifle or any other information. ???

 That there's a Porter Revolving Rifle. P.W. Porter from NY debuted it in 1851.It was chambered in .44cal. The reference I have doesn't give a specific .44 though. Apparently Mr. Porter died at the hands of one of his latter firearms whilst demonstrating it for Sam Colt  :o The lever advanced the cylinder, and that odd looking bit on top was a loading lever. They held between 8 and 9 rounds, depended on which model.

Yep, it had a small defect.  The charged turret had balls facing the shooter.  Chain fires were very exciting.
