Halfway Creek Charlie

....I've escaped!  ;D
Well not really.  ???

It seems my part time Equine services gig has become full time and 1/2. Since Thanksgiving. One of my part time clients was thrown from her horse and suffered a broken arm. That became a full time job for me and will extend through jan and possibly become full time anyway. Another full time client got a promotion and my duties expanded to picking up the slack when she travels. It too has become almost full time. I'm gone from dawn to dusk(read full blown Dark As The Inside Of A Cow to DATIOAC).

On top of all this I have lost my shop and my place to live due to my landlord's loss of the property. So when I haven't been working I have been stowing way too much stuff, and getting ready to move this 5th wheel off the property.

My computer crashed sometime in late Nov. and I just got it repaired and back up last evening.

To add insult to injury I lost my cell phone in Dec and finally got it replaced last week.

I haven't fired a shot since Oct.

This online service will be disconnected by the end of the month when we have to be out of here. I hope to stay in the Acton Area, but that remains to be seen.

I'll try to check in as much as i can. I do have this and all my regular websites bookmarked into yahoo book marks, so I can access them from about any computer.

Hey Charlie,......glad to hear you're still in the saddle,........although I know sometimes it's hard to tell
where the saddle ends and the ground begins.  ???

As you already can gather, there's  a bunch of folks here, myself included,  .... and over on the Voy
are glad to see you're still around. Sounds like you got your hands full,.....good luck with it all, and stay in touch. ;D

Hey Charlie, . . good to hear from you.  You've been missed.  Does your increased work load increase your income ? . . it should.  Most people who have horses  ( and can afford someone to care for them ) have some property.  You mention you have a 5th wheel.  Can you do a deal to move it onto the property of one of your clients in return for the increased workload ? . . . Workshop.  I had rented storage places for may years for extra stuff, and then shared a 40 ft. container workshop with my pard "Slipshot Pur Cussin" for a couple of years.  When that ended do to sale of the property it was on I bought a delapidated ( but basically sound ) 20 ft. travel trailer and converted it into my workshop and storage.  Living kind of a "gypsy" lifestyle myself I understand. My workshop at :  www.drburkholter.com/cf16.html. . .   if'n ya care to see it.  I've been living rent free I return for doing minor maintenance at an animal sanctuary for the past 5 years.  When I'm out of town for any extended time I hook up the "workshop" and move it into a secure storage facility for a nominal fee of $66 a month.
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Marshal Will Wingam

Good to see you here, Pard. We missed you. At least you're still breathing and moving along with things. Some day your workload will slack off to normal and you'll feel like you're retired. Look in when you can.
