You'll should get several thumbs up reports  ;D
I've had mine 2 1/2 years , it has worked flawlessly and is tank tough...it came with lighter hammer springs installed.
When I ordered it I ask Walt Johnson @TTn to pick one with some figure to the Black walnut stock, he did not disappoint me.
As far a slugs ,I have not used any It is not choked so I suppose it would handled them fine.

I actually did a trade with my FFl , so no cash outlay sorry ... I'd say though between $440-$525 is the norm....

If you get one you won't be sorry

Love mine.  Had it slicked up by local smith.  Polished chambers, deburred hammers and shortened stock.  Retail is $475 and dealer is $375 so you should be able to get one somewhere between those prices.  Lots of pards I shoot with use them and so far I have not seen any problems.  Just the way I see it...MR

The LTC make a good suggestion "deburred hammers" .
You will see in my upper photo the hammers are close enough together to thumb in one move.
However, just in front and down a bit from the checkering  are some stylish spurs on the hammers.
These guys have a fairly sharp edge, if you are in the heat of a timed shoot , they can bark the skin.
SMARTS some  :(
The fix is to polish these to a blunter edge , a Dremel Tool or even a few strokes with a file & 500 grit w/d will save that one of a kind thumb print.

Mine needed no chamber polishing out of the box.
There is another plus those chambers are 3" should you want to use them

Yup, the TTN Coach gun is a fine weapon.  You can shoot magnums as well as slugs out of them if you wish.  The fit and finish is really very good.  I have not had any problems at all.  You should be looking at the $400 range give or take some.  You wont be dissapointed.  Regards.  Deadeye.

Howdy Kid,

I've only had a chance to shoot mine a few times. So far I really like it. The sight is very easy to pick up. Switching from a hammerless gun I do have to remember to cock the hammers  :-[  They are close enough for me to also thumb in one move as Major 2 said.

The spurs on the hammers are blunted but I imagine they can still let you know they are there.

I got mine through the Cowboy Indian store, they did some work to it before sending it on to me. I've let a couple of folks try it and they like it also.

Major2 says it well , in regards to those spurs, I tried duling the edge a little, and wasn't satified with the result , so I ground the spurs off completly, sanded them down smooth and polished with my Dremel , put some cold blue on them, and then some olive oil , and then some Min Wax, now there good too go , when I go to thumb the hammers, theres nothing their to chop at my thumb. really love this gun , and I'm glad I listen to Dead Eye Don and the rest of my pards.

Nice gun cart, M2!  Hmmm, I have a two wheeler cart already...

Are the '78 shotguns offered by EMF & Cimarron TTN?
I've got my excuses and I'm stickin' to 'em.

Not sure about EMF but the ones offered by Cimarron and Taylors are indeed TTNs.

Thanks .. it's just a $40 Harper Hand truck from Home depot with some hardwood scraps fitted to hold the guns and Scrap Walnut made in to a box.

Yes the EMF is the same as the TTn ... like Deadeye said , Cimarron and Taylors too.

I believe the only difference is TTn's Walt Johnson installs the ligher springs & Large bead sight on the ones he ships and sends along the OEM springs as well.
I'm not positive about this, but the others will supply them but not always installed.

I got my T.T.N. from E.M.F. , and it came with the lighter springs and larger brass bead front site, and Major2 that is a nifty gun dolly you have their, looks like it would serve the purpose very well. I don't know if you caught my last post on this subject , but I cut those sharp spurs off the hammers completly , and they work like a charm for me now . 8)

Yep it's made of ballistic nylon (as a hand truck it's rated fro 200 lbs)
I removed the 4 bolts that holds the steel L shaped 3/8" lifting plate... that lighten it a lot.
The Box replaced the plate and holds all my rounds.
Empty it weighs 12 lbs., has 12" pneumatic tires & made by Harper Manufacturing.
I use it only for SASS Range shoots (not authentic at all ) but works in soft sand.

"...but I cut those sharp spurs off the hammers completly"

I just rounded the spurs over some on mine ...  :)

thanks im hoping my gun shop guy will be to order one in

Delaware Jim

Got mine from Taylors and it too has the large bead and lightened springs.  Mine the shells just fall out but I am using BP and they may just not be expanding.  It is sure a fun gun to cut loose with real BP.  The Fire and smoke is unreal in those short barrels.
