Isn't it interesting that when one fella asks two simple questions - "is it ok to shoot, and should I buy it?"  the simple answers being "yes" and "yes" we wind up with a chemistry lesson, a physics lesson, a history lesson, and to stretch it just a bit, an English lesson.  Dang I love this forum!  You guys are the best.  (I am NOT being sarcastic here.  The darksider's forum is always interesting, always entertaining, and remarkably informative.  I spend very little time on the computer, but I almost always wind up here for awhile when I get on at all.)  Thanks guys!

Never a dull moment :D

To go back to the beginning, I did buy the powder--ten dollars a pound.  Haven't had a chance ta shoot it yet, but I won't be needin to buy any for quite some time.  Thanks fer all the input ;)

Good deal, when you get a chance to shoot some let us know if you really see much differance. ;D

john boy,

THANKS!!!  That was very informative.  Started shooting BP when I was about 14. [A long, long time ago! :o ;D]  Had a feel for the differences, but now know a whole lot more than I did 5 minutes ago! ;D ;D ;D

Gents - Thanks for the flowers, am appreciative but ...
CAS - muzzle loaders and BPCR shooters think the world starts and stops with us only about the subject of original gunpowder.  It doesn't.  Sniff around on the firecracker websites.  They have a wealth of information about BP too
